The former Samsung Vice President brings experience across technology, media and telecommunications, including the introduction of agentic AI mobile experiences in the UK and Ireland
Google UK's Kate Alessi has welcomed Annika Bizon as the company's new Managing Director of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications. Bizon joins from Samsung Electronics, where she was Vice President for the UK and Ireland.
Google UK has appointed Annika Bizon as Managing Director of its Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) team, bringing in a senior executive from Samsung to lead its work with clients across the three sectors.
Bizon joins Google following more than five years at Samsung Electronics, most recently serving as Vice President, UK and Ireland. Her appointment brings together experience in technology, commercial strategy and digital transformation, with previous leadership positions at Three UK and Twentieth Century Fox.
Kate Alessi, Vice President at Google and Managing Director of Google UK & Ireland, confirmed the appointment on LinkedIn, highlighting Bizon's experience across all three areas of the company's TMT portfolio.
Alessi described the role Bizon will play in supporting Google's clients: “As our clients navigate a rapidly transforming landscape, Annika will be a critical partner in showing how our AI-powered technology can help solve their most complex challenges.”
From Samsung's agentic AI strategy to Google UK
At Samsung, Bizon held several senior positions across marketing, customer experience and commercial operations, culminating in her appointment as Vice President for the UK and Ireland in December 2024.
Her recent work included leading the introduction of Samsung's first agentic AI mobile experiences in the UK and Ireland, alongside developing product strategies and managing cross-functional teams.
Bizon has described her professional focus as combining technology, customer experience and commercial growth, with an emphasis on developing strategies that respond to changing consumer behavior.
Her background also includes almost two years at Three UK, where she served as Managing Director of its Enterprise business before becoming GTM and Channel Management Director.
Earlier in her career, she spent more than 14 years at Twentieth Century Fox, progressing through senior commercial positions to become Commercial Director, UK & Ireland. Her responsibilities included digital commercial strategy and partnerships with companies including Amazon Video, Google, Sky and Apple.
