Google has opened applications for its 2027 internship programs in Dublin, Ireland, offering students opportunities across data center operations, financial analysis, business development, marketing and technology.

The internships are primarily aimed at students enrolled in bachelor's, master's or MBA programs across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Most of the advertised Dublin positions close on November 13, 2026, although some media account specialist roles remain open until November 20.

Successful applicants will work full-time for at least 13 weeks during summer 2027, with placements beginning in May, June or July. Google is reviewing applications on a rolling basis and encourages candidates to apply before the closing dates.

Vanessa Hartley, Vice President of EMEA Large Customer Sales and Head of Google Ireland, confirmed the recruitment drive in a LinkedIn post, highlighting Dublin's position as Google's EMEA headquarters.

"Our interns dive straight into real products, work alongside brilliant teams, and see how ideas scale to touch billions of users across the world," she wrote.

Opportunities span technical and commercial roles

The available positions cover several areas of Google's operations, with different academic and practical experience requirements.

Business Analyst MBA interns will support data analysis, reporting and business performance measurement. Candidates need experience working with datasets and statistical problem-solving tools such as SQL, Python or comparable programming languages.

Finance MBA interns will work with teams responsible for financial operations, budgeting and business processes. A separate Financial Analyst internship is available to bachelor's and master's students studying business, accounting, finance, information systems, data analytics or related subjects.

For students interested in the infrastructure behind Google's services, the Data Center Facilities Technician internship provides experience maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, including cooling equipment, generators and monitoring systems. Applicants need relevant mechanical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), or electrical experience.

Commercial opportunities include Customer Growth Associate, New Business Sales and Media Account Specialist internships. Some positions require fluency in English and another regional language, including German, French, Italian, Spanish or Polish.

Google is also recruiting Associate Product Marketing Manager interns for placements in Dublin, Hamburg and Paris. Those selected will contribute to marketing projects involving product launches, customer engagement, campaign measurement and market strategy.

These positions sit within Google's wider EMEA internship recruitment program, although the location and eligibility requirements vary by role.

Eligibility, compensation and application requirements

The advertised internships generally require applicants to be in the penultimate or final year of an accredited degree program, with specific qualifications varying between positions.

Candidates must be available to work at the designated internship location throughout their placement. The advertised positions do not offer immigration sponsorship, making existing permission to work in the relevant country an important eligibility requirement.

The listings also provide compensation figures. In Ireland, the advertised figures include €34,800 for the Data Center Facilities Technician position, €47,000 for several bachelor's and master's-level commercial and finance roles, and €72,000 for the MBA internships. The supplied listings do not clarify how these figures translate into payments over the internship period.

Applications require an updated CV or resume and, for the specified degree programs, a current academic transcript in English. Candidates must also provide their expected graduation date and internship availability.

Google says applicants may wait more than 90 days for a response, depending on the recruitment process. The company also notes that the specific team and project assignments will depend on candidates' qualifications, interests and skills.

Not every position shares the same application window. The Software Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering internship advertised across several European locations had an October 23 deadline, which has already passed.

Google offers application workshops and interview preparation

Alongside the recruitment drive, Google is providing preparation resources through its Careers on Air Student Hub.

The hub includes on-demand recruiter discussions, CV workshops, information about different roles and guidance on preparing for technical interviews.

A live coding preparation session is scheduled for November 10, 2026, featuring Google software engineers demonstrating how to approach a typical internship-level interview problem. Participants will also be able to ask questions about the technical skills and problem-solving approaches used during recruitment.

The session is scheduled for 8pm to 9pm GMT, with an on-demand recording available to registered participants.

Applications for most of the advertised Dublin internships close on November 13, with Media Account Specialist applications closing on November 20, 2026.
