ETIH Innovation Awards 2026: spotlight on EdTech Company of the Year (UK)

This category recognizes a UK-based EdTech company delivering innovation, impact, and measurable value across the education sector.

We’re continuing our series exploring each category in the ETIH Innovation Awards 2026, taking a closer look at what the judges expect and what makes a strong submission.

This edition focuses on EdTech Company of the Year (UK), a category celebrating UK-based companies that have demonstrated standout performance, innovation, and influence across education. Entries should show how the organization supports UK schools, colleges, or training providers and responds to the evolving needs of the UK education system.

What this category covers

This category highlights EdTech companies headquartered or primarily operating in the UK that are delivering meaningful impact across domestic education and training. Eligible entries may include companies supporting schools, further education, higher education, or workforce learning.

Entries may include evidence relating to:

  • product or platform innovation

  • adoption across UK schools, colleges, or training providers

  • alignment with UK curriculum, policy, or sector priorities

  • measurable improvements in learning, engagement, or efficiency

  • partnerships with UK institutions, trusts, or public bodies

  • responsible use of AI, data, or emerging technologies

  • sustainable growth within the UK market

Companies must demonstrate activity and progress within the past twelve months.

What judges will look for

Judges will assess whether the company delivers clear value to the UK education sector through EdTech innovation and execution.

Entries should address:

  • the specific UK education challenge the company is addressing

  • how products or services meet the needs of UK institutions

  • evidence of adoption and retention within the UK market

  • measurable outcomes for learners, educators, or institutions

  • customer feedback from UK schools, colleges, or providers

  • how the company adapts to policy, funding, or regulatory change

Strong submissions will demonstrate a clear understanding of the UK education landscape and tangible impact.

How to strengthen your submission

Entrants are encouraged to provide a clear narrative connecting product strategy, user needs, and outcomes within the UK context. Judges value transparency around challenges, lessons learned, and how the company has adapted to sector change.

Submissions will be strengthened by:

  • data showing UK growth, reach, or adoption

  • case studies from UK institutions or partnerships

  • evidence of measurable outcomes in teaching, learning, or operations

  • clarity on governance, safeguarding, and data protection

Demonstrating sustained impact within the UK education system will strengthen the submission.

EdTech Company of the Year (UK) offers organizations an opportunity to highlight leadership and innovation within the UK EdTech sector. Shortlisted entries will be featured on edtechinnovationhub.com and across ETIH channels, reaching educators, policymakers, investors, and sector stakeholders.

Entries are reviewed by an independent judging panel with expertise across UK education, policy, and EdTech. Many companies find the submission process valuable for reflecting on impact and strengthening their sector narrative.

How to enter

To enter, download an entry form or submit via the link below. The entry deadline is Friday, 27 March 2026. The shortlist will be announced on Tuesday, 2 April 2026, and winners will be revealed on Monday, 27 April 2026.

Entry costs £80 per submission, or £150 for two or more entries. Payment can be made via our website. Once your entry form and payment have been received, confirmation will be sent by email.
