Microsoft opens executive AI skilling role focused on CXOs and agentic learning

Global Skilling team seeks leader to drive short-form AI education strategy for senior executives worldwide.

Microsoft is hiring for a senior position within its Global Skilling team focused on upskilling CXO and executive audiences through short-form AI content and thought leadership.

The move signals continued emphasis on executive-level AI transformation as companies shift from experimentation to implementation.

Lauren Weinstein, Skilling & AI at Microsoft, posted on LinkedIn inviting candidates to join the Global Skilling team, formerly known as Worldwide Learning. She wrote, “Come work with me at Microsoft on the Global Skilling team (formerly Worldwide Learning).”

Weinstein added that the role will “focus on upskilling CXO and Executive audiences through short-form content and thought leadership,” while helping to “inform our agentic learning products.”

She also highlighted cross-functional collaboration, noting candidates would “work with a ton of talented L&D/product/marketing folks who are highly collaborative and creative.”

Executive AI transformation strategy

According to the job description, the successful candidate will establish a center of excellence for executive skilling, equipping leaders to bring AI transformation concepts into their organizations.

Responsibilities include defining a CXO short-form skilling strategy, building a learning “bill of materials” aligned to executive needs, and activating content across events, communities, outbound channels, and Microsoft’s agentic learning product, AI Skills Navigator.

The role emphasizes development and curation of short-form video content designed to support global executive audiences navigating AI implementation.

Short-form skilling meets agentic learning

The position sits within Microsoft’s Short Form Skilling team, which focuses on delivering skills through short video and digital content activated across social platforms and learning environments.

The job description states that the candidate will “curate and develop engaging short form content (primarily video) within our agentic learning product, building out a learning space that enables CXOs to bring AI to their organizations more effectively.”

The role also includes social media activation and collaboration across marketing, product, and advocacy teams, reinforcing Microsoft’s broader strategy to position itself as a leader in AI workforce skilling.

The hiring push reflects a wider shift in enterprise learning. As AI adoption accelerates, executive fluency is increasingly viewed as a strategic requirement rather than a technical specialization.
