Kahoot! partners with Spacetoon to expand Arabic learning content across MENA

The game-based learning platform brings iconic Spacetoon characters into Arabic-language kahoots, signaling a push for culturally relevant EdTech content in the Middle East and North Africa.

Kahoot! and Spacetoon have launched a new partnership to deliver interactive Arabic learning experiences featuring Spacetoon’s characters, targeting classrooms, homes, and communities across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The move strengthens Kahoot!’s regional growth strategy and reflects increasing demand for localized, culturally aligned EdTech content in Arabic.

Christian Viland, Partnerships Manager at Kahoot!, took to LinkedIn to share the announcement, describing the collaboration as a “new partnership between Kahoot! and Spacetoon.” He noted that in the Middle East, “Spacetoon needs no introduction. It’s a true household name and a defining part of childhood for millions across the region.”

Under the agreement, Spacetoon’s shows and characters will feature in ready-to-play Arabic kahoots spanning subjects including health, social studies, visual arts, emotional literacy, and Arabic language learning.

Familiar characters, localized learning

Kahoot! says the partnership brings “familiar stories and beloved heroes that many learners already know and love into the learning experience.” For decades, Spacetoon has played a central role in children’s media across the region. The collaboration aims to translate that brand recognition into engagement within a structured, game-based learning format.

The new kahoots are designed for young learners and students and can be used in classrooms, at home, or in social learning settings. Kahoot! already supports a growing base of Arabic-speaking educators and families, and the Spacetoon content builds on that localized foundation.

The partnership also aligns with Spacetoon’s recent launch of Spacetoon Education, a division focused on developing educational experiences and content intended to support skill development.

Focus on engagement and essential skills

Raneem Medhat, Head of Education at Spacetoon, says: “We are excited to partner with Kahoot! to make learning joyful, accessible, and impactful. Through this partnership, we provide engaging activities that reach millions of users, helping children and young adults develop essential skills such as analytical thinking and problem-solving, while supporting parents at home and educators in schools.

“This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment at Spacetoon and Spacetoon Education to empower learners across the MENA region with the best educational resources.”

The collaboration marks what both organizations describe as the start of a broader relationship, with plans to expand educational experiences for families and schools in the region.

As EdTech providers look to scale globally, partnerships that combine platform infrastructure with trusted regional media brands are becoming more common. For Kahoot!, the Spacetoon agreement reinforces a strategy centered on localized content, language accessibility, and culturally relevant engagement in growth markets.
