The Atlassian Williams F1 Team has confirmed that applications for its 2026 apprenticeship program are nearing their deadline, using social media to encourage prospective candidates to apply.

The Formula One team, which designs, builds, and operates race cars competing at the highest level of motorsport, offers apprenticeships focused on hands-on engineering, manufacturing, and validation work within its Operations division in the UK.

Applications closing for race-critical roles

In a post shared on LinkedIn, the team highlighted that the three-year apprenticeship program is aimed at school leavers seeking a direct pathway into advanced engineering and technical roles. Apprentices work toward nationally recognized qualifications while earning and gaining on-the-job experience at the Grove site.

The program is positioned as a route into areas that directly contribute to car performance, including the use of advanced materials and manufacturing technologies. According to the team, apprentices are embedded in day-to-day operations rather than operating in simulated or classroom-only environments.

Most roles sit within Williams’ Operations team, which supports the design, build, and delivery of the race car. Pathways include composites, metallics manufacturing, metrology, and assembly, test, and validation.

These roles span carbon fiber component production, high-precision machining, inspection and measurement, and the final integration and testing of mechanical and electrical systems before parts reach the track. Depending on the pathway, apprentices study toward Level 3 qualifications alongside their work.

Structured training with long-term progression

Williams states that apprentices receive structured training alongside experienced engineers and technicians, with increasing responsibility over the course of the program. The team also emphasizes the cohort-based nature of the intake, with apprentices training and progressing together as part of a defined community.

While the program is positioned as demanding, the team notes that apprentices gain early exposure to professional engineering standards and real-world performance pressures associated with Formula One operations.

Announcing the deadline reminder on LinkedIn, the team said: “Whether you’re looking to work with advanced carbon fibre or utilising cutting-edge technology, you’re helping to bring the car to life and turn innovation into performance – whilst also shaping your future.”
