SkillStorm launches cloud and cybersecurity certification tracks designed specifically for the military community
SkillStorm, a US-based tech talent accelerator, has launched two new certification tracks - one on cloud engineering and another on cybersecurity - designed specifically for veterans.

Beginning in August, the two courses are offered part-time through the SkillBridge and GI Bill programs, aiming to prepare students for commercial tech roles or high-impact positions supporting government modernization.
"I really saw that SkillStorm was a great stepping stone to my first role as a civilian technologist," comments Kaden Godinez, a US Army veteran and recent graduate. “Having the support of SkillStorm in terms of a great curriculum combined with a really excellent instructor, and learning with a cohort of supportive and professional veterans. It was honestly the perfect way to make this transition. SkillStorm sets you up for success."
Between 2021 and 2031, demand for cybersecurity and cloud computing skills are expected to outpace overall tech job growth by 21 percent, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Despite this, more than 200,000 service members leave the military each year without clear, affordable routes into these careers,
"Empowering students with the tools and certifications needed to excel in high-demand tech careers isn't just our business – it's our mission," adds Justin Vianello, CEO of SkillStorm. "By bridging the gap between military expertise and civilian technology roles, we're not only transforming individual careers but also addressing a critical skills shortage faced by the tech industry today."
The new tracks will be delivered in collaboration with workforce-focused colleagues and universities across the US, aligning them to existing degree pathways while providing localized student services.
