Nick Parker is leaving Microsoft after 26 years to join Nvidia as Executive Vice President leading Worldwide Field Operations, moving one of Microsoft’s most senior commercial leaders into Nvidia’s global AI infrastructure business.

Parker currently serves as Microsoft’s Chief Business Officer and President of Worldwide Sales & Solutions, leading its global sales organization across enterprise, small and medium-sized business and consumer customers.

He will begin the Nvidia role on August 24 and join the company’s leadership team with responsibility for its worldwide field operations.

Parker wrote on LinkedIn that he was “excited to join the NVIDIA leadership team as the company continues to expand its global AI infrastructure position.”

The move will also keep Parker involved in the commercial relationship between Microsoft and Nvidia, which work together across cloud computing, enterprise technology and AI infrastructure.

Parker moves after 26 years at Microsoft

Parker joined Microsoft in January 2000 as Director of Systems Integrator Partnerships and went on to hold leadership positions across original equipment manufacturer sales, consumer and device sales, global partner operations and industry partnerships.

He became President of Industry and Partnerships in May 2022 before taking up his current role as Chief Business Officer and President of Worldwide Sales & Solutions in October 2025.

His current remit covers Microsoft’s global go-to-market strategy, specialist sales and engineering teams, partner relationships and commercial activity across customer segments and industries.

Parker wrote:

“After 26 incredible years at Microsoft, I will be joining NVIDIA as Executive Vice President leading Worldwide Field Operations, starting Aug. 24. I’m excited to join the NVIDIA leadership team as the company continues to expand its global AI infrastructure position.”

He also described his time at Microsoft as “the privilege of my career” and thanked the colleagues, customers and partners he had worked with during his tenure.

Parker crosses from Microsoft to a major AI partner

Parker’s departure does not take him far from Microsoft’s commercial orbit. Nvidia remains an important partner to Microsoft across AI infrastructure, cloud computing and enterprise technology, while Parker has spent much of his career managing global sales and partner relationships.

The appointment now places him on the other side of that relationship. After 26 years helping shape Microsoft’s commercial and partner operations, Parker will lead the teams responsible for taking Nvidia’s technology to customers worldwide.

He presented the move as a continuation of the two companies’ relationship rather than a clean break, writing: “Microsoft and NVIDIA are great partners and I look forward to continuing to nurture that fantastic relationship.”

Parker will join Nvidia on August 24 as Executive Vice President leading Worldwide Field Operations, moving directly from the leadership of Microsoft’s global sales organization into Nvidia’s expanding AI infrastructure business.
