APUS to launch two new courses teaching critical AI skills in new deal with MIT CSAIL

The American Public University System (APUS) has announced a new agreement with MIT’s Computer Science and AI Laboratory (MIT CSAIL) to launch two new courses on AI.

Two new courses - called Machine Learning in Business, and User Experience Design - will be offered to students through APUS’ School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

The new courses are part of APUS’ wider commitment to training the next generation of scientists and researchers.

"We want to expand learning opportunities to students globally, and AI is by far the most powerful innovation facing us today," says APUS President Nuno Fernandes.

"By leveraging course content from one of the world's leading research labs in computer science, we can teach advanced knowledge of AI and an unparalleled, future-ready classroom experience. We also look forward to exploring an expansion of our licensing agreement with MIT and offering additional courses in the future."

Earlier this year, MIT launched MIT Learn, an AI-enabled platform for non-degree learning opportunities at the institution. MIT says the website will make it easier for learners around the world to make use of the content and resources available on its various platforms.
