McGraw Hill launches new AI-powered learning solution ALEKS for Calculus providing personalized support

McGraw Hill, a global education provider, has announced the launch of ALEKS for Calculus, a new AI-powered learning solution in the latest expansion of its ALEKS digital learning platform.

ALEKS for Calculus uses AI to accurately assess student needs and deliver personalized content, strengthening fundamental skills and deepening conceptual understanding.

“For more than two decades, ALEKS has leveraged AI in a responsible way to drive measurable success for students in math and science across K-12 and higher education,” says Lori Anderson, Chief Product Officer at McGraw Hill.

“We've continued to develop new ALEKS offerings because of the outcomes we've seen firsthand when educators and students have access to a research-backed, AI-powered solution that allows them to personalize the learning journey. ALEKS for Calculus continues this legacy by using AI to assess knowledge gaps to create a continuous, adaptive learning experience that allows students to build mastery while making calculus more approachable, relevant and tailored to their level.”

ALEKS for Calculus aims to mimic the pencil-to-paper experience, allowing students master the techniques needed to sketch graphs.

“To be successful in their calculus course, students must have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of algebra and precalculus to then apply these concepts and principles to more complex calculus problems,” adds Andrew Rast, Vice President of ALEKS at McGraw Hill. “With its formative assessment and adaptive, mastery learning driven by Knowledge Space Theory, along with the data and successes of decades of use in algebra and precalculus, ALEKS provides the only digital solution in the market that is up to this challenge.”
