McGraw Hill and Renaissance link assessment data with curriculum through new integration

New partnership connects Renaissance Star Assessments with McGraw Hill curriculum tools as publishers and assessment providers push closer integration of classroom data and instruction.

McGraw Hill and Renaissance have announced a collaboration that will connect Renaissance Star Assessment data directly with McGraw Hill curriculum tools, bringing assessment insights into instructional planning for K–12 classrooms across the United States.

The integration will launch nationwide for the 2026 back-to-school period and reflects a wider push in EdTech to link assessment systems with teaching materials in order to support data-driven instruction.

The initiative connects Renaissance Star Math and Star Reading assessments with McGraw Hill’s Standards and Skills Proficiency Graph, a tool used within the company’s math and literacy curricula to track student progress and guide instruction.

Assessment data connected to classroom instruction

Under the integration, Star assessment data will flow directly into McGraw Hill’s proficiency graph, allowing teachers to see how students are performing against specific standards and skills.

The system will also connect with Renaissance Intelligence, the company’s unified data and insights platform designed to bring together assessment and instructional data.

According to the companies, linking these systems is intended to provide educators with clearer visibility into student progress and allow them to identify learning needs more quickly.

The integration will also connect with McGraw Hill curriculum programs including Reveal Math and the company’s literacy offerings Emerge!, Summit!, and Soar!.

Tools designed to support personalized instruction

McGraw Hill says the combined system will help teachers identify student needs, access recommended resources, and plan targeted instruction using connected assessment and curriculum data.

Jana Thompson, Chief Product Officer at McGraw Hill K–12, says: “Connected solutions like this are essential for supporting educators and students in today’s classrooms. By uniting data from multiple sources—including assessments and curricula—educators gain a more comprehensive understanding of student progress and learning needs. This integrated approach not only helps teachers save valuable time, but also empowers them to drive measurable progress by delivering more personalized learning experiences that meet each student’s unique needs.”

Todd Brekhus, Chief Product Officer at Renaissance, says: “Collaborating with McGraw Hill strengthens our commitment to bringing powerful, connected insights to every classroom. This integration is a key step forward for Renaissance Intelligence, enabling teachers to easily connect Star data with instructional content they trust. When educators can instantly see what students need—and access targeted resources with confidence—they unlock a new level of personalization and make meaningful learning gains possible for all students.”

The McGraw Hill and Renaissance integration is expected to roll out nationwide in the United States ahead of the 2026 school year.
