Avantis Education launches EduverseSTEM to transform classroom STEM learning
Students will be able to dissect frogs, perform chemistry experiments and get immersed in robotics challenges, virtually, and beyond the constraints of the classroom
EduverseSTEM allows students to perform experiments that might otherwise be too unsafe or expensive in the classroom
Avantis Education, creator of the world’s leading virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) has announced the launch of its most comprehensive STEM education suite to date.
EduverseSTEM removes the barriers to practical STEM learning, giving students access to experiences that would otherwise be too expensive, too complex or unsafe to deliver in school.
The tool, designed for use by students in middle and high school, combines ClassVR Xcelerate, Avantis Education’s innovative 6DoF headsets, with an extensive content library mapped to recognized curriculum standards, including the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
Delivering more than 500 STEM experiences and unlimited creation opportunities, EduverseSTEM supports hands-on learning across biology, chemistry, physics, engineering & technology, and computing.
It includes modules which support Project Based Learning (PBL). Mapped to a Gold Standard PBL framework and aligned to PBLWorks and Cambridge Global Perspectives, the modules provide full teacher guidance, lesson plans, curriculum objectives and key vocabulary for every project.
Connecting concepts
EduverseSTEM helps students make the connection between individual STEM subjects by giving teachers flexibility to explore individual subjects, as well as combining and connecting concepts across multiple subjects, and with real-time classroom monitoring and built-in safeguarding controls, ensuring teachers can deliver lessons with confidence and students remain engaged.
Simon Bradshaw, Head of Education, Avantis Education, said: “EduverseSTEM represents a significant step forward in how VR/AR can support STEM education.
“We have put pedagogy at the heart of the solution, bringing together curriculum-aligned content from Avantis with carefully curated resources from industry leading partners to create a comprehensive, all-in-one STEM package.
“Through project-based learning, EduverseSTEM enables students to explore complex STEM concepts in depth, make connections across subjects and apply their learning to real-world contexts.
“We are equipping educators with the tools to deliver meaningful and engaging STEM learning experiences, underpinned by strong pedagogy and a clear educational purpose.”
EduverseSTEM provides access to Avantis Education’s curriculum-aligned VR/AR STEM resources as well as pedagogically curated content from leading STEM partners: AttainXR, Delightex Edu, iXRLabs, Filament Games, Proteus Labs, Singer Studios and VictoryXR, under one subscription.
Subscriptions are available on three- and five-year licences, with support across seven languages. To find out more, visit https://www.classvr.com/us/eduversestem.
