California Community College partners with Liaison to modernize the student apps used across 116 colleges

The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office has partnered with higher education technology specialist Liaison to modernize the student apps used across the state’s 116 community colleges.

Liaison will lead the development of next-generation online apps serving 2.1 million students across 73 districts - said to be the largest system of higher education in the US - aiming to simplify the path to college.

The partnership will also strengthen data accuracy, while protecting against and mitigating fraud across the application system.

"We're honored to partner with the Chancellor's Office on this transformative initiative," says George Haddad, founder and CEO of Liaison. "Leveraging on our enterprise-grade Centralized Application Services (CAS) platform, we will help deliver a simpler, more accessible experience for prospective and returning students—while giving colleges the integrity, resilience, and insight they need."

"Through this partnership, we're developing a secure, accessible solution that streamlines key processes. This effort supports our strategic plan, Vision 2030, which aims to make our colleges more inclusive and efficient for all," adds Jory Hadsell, Executive in Residence, Strategic Technology Initiatives Finance and Strategic Initiatives for the Chancellor's Office. "Together with Liaison, we aim to make students' first interaction with our colleges a best-in-class experience."
