HopSkipDrive appoints new CFO and VP of Sales amid rapid school transport expansion
HopSkipDrive has appointed Tom Alderman as chief financial officer and Adam Fisher as vice president of sales as the company expands its network of school and district partnerships.

HopSkipDrive, a technology company providing transportation for students and families, has announced two senior appointments to its executive team. Tom Alderman joins as chief financial officer, and Adam Fisher becomes vice president of sales.
The company said the new hires will help scale operations and strengthen partnerships with school districts across the United States.
Finance veteran joins as CFO
Alderman, who previously served as CFO at Kyte and Getaround, brings more than two decades of experience in corporate finance and investment banking. He succeeds Sung Kim, who is leaving the role after helping double the company’s business during his tenure.
“HopSkipDrive is tackling a fundamental challenge to ensure transportation is never a barrier to a child’s potential,” said Alderman. “I’m energized by this powerful mission and look forward to helping build a durable, long-term business that can expand its impact for students and communities for years to come.”
Kim added, “I’m so proud to have contributed to HopSkipDrive’s success. I’m excited to watch the team continue to expand its incredible impact for students and families.”
Sales appointment aims to deepen district relationships
Fisher joins from DoorDash, where he led enterprise partnership teams responsible for bringing national restaurant brands onto the platform. Reporting to chief revenue officer Tyler Baldwin, he will focus on expanding HopSkipDrive’s partnerships with school districts nationwide.
“Throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to companies that solve meaningful problems,” said Fisher. “HopSkipDrive serves as an important partner to school districts, and I look forward to working closely with transportation teams to understand their unique challenges and deliver a solution that makes a real difference in the lives of students and families.”
“Tom and Adam are exceptional, mission-driven leaders whose expertise will be instrumental as we enter our next stage of innovation and growth,” said Joanna McFarland, co-founder and CEO of HopSkipDrive. “Their proven leadership in scaling world-class financial and sales operations will accelerate our ability to solve complex transportation challenges for even more schools and families.”
