Anthropic opens global Claude community ambassador program
Anthropic is launching a global community ambassador program for users of its Claude AI platform, inviting developers, educators, and community organizers to host local meetups, workshops, and events designed to grow the Claude ecosystem.
The Claude Community Ambassadors program will support individuals who want to organize AI-focused gatherings in their cities, providing event funding, API credits, and access to Anthropic teams. The initiative reflects a broader trend across the AI sector, where companies are building developer and learning communities to expand adoption of generative AI tools.
The program was announced in a LinkedIn post by the official Claude account, which outlined the role ambassadors will play in connecting builders and educators working with the platform.
The post stated: “We're launching Claude Community Ambassadors. Ambassadors host meetups, bring builders together, and partner with the Anthropic team.”
Program focuses on local AI communities
Anthropic says ambassadors will be responsible for organizing local events such as meetups, workshops, and hackathons designed to bring together people experimenting with Claude.
Participants will receive resources including event sponsorship, promotional support, and pre-prepared materials that can be used to run sessions or demonstrations.
The program is open globally and does not require participants to hold a formal developer role. According to Anthropic, applicants should have experience using Claude tools and a track record of community engagement.
The program description states that ambassadors may include community organizers, technical users of Claude tools, or advocates who are actively helping others learn about the platform.
Access to tools and early product insight
Anthropic says ambassadors will receive monthly API credits to run demonstrations and experiments using Claude models. The company also plans to provide access to pre-release features and feedback sessions with its product teams.
These sessions will allow ambassadors to share insights from their local communities and contribute feedback on how Claude tools are used in real-world environments.
The initiative reflects a strategy increasingly used across AI companies, where developer communities act as both learning networks and feedback channels for product development.
Applications are open worldwide, with Anthropic stating that the program is designed to support geographic diversity and multiple ambassadors may operate in the same city.
Selected participants will be invited to a short interview process before joining the program. Once accepted, ambassadors will sign an agreement and join a private Slack community used to coordinate events and share insights with the Anthropic team.
