AI-powered early childhood resources selected as winners in Isle of Man Innovation Challenge 2025
After a rigorous 12-week program, the Isle of Man Innovation Challenge 2025 has named winners across four major categories including Early Ideas IOM which offers AI-powered resources on early childhood development.

Innovators showcased solutions to real-world problems across four categories: cleantech, data and AI, fintech and sustainability. This year’s event attracted more than 100 entrants from 20 countries.
Over 12 weeks, 14 finalists were given hands-on support from regulators, government agencies, investors, and mentors to adapt and tailor their solutions, ending in a finale that saw them present their ideas to a panel of expert judges.
As the Isle of Man is the world’s only whole-nation UNESCO Biosphere, all finalists were required to demonstrate how their solutions embrace sustainability and community principles.
In the Data and AI category, Early Ideas Isle of Man (IOM) which offers AI-powered resources for parents on early childhood development, supporting children with expert-driven guidance, was the overall winner.
All winners will receive six months of access to the Isle of Man’s ecosystem of mentors, investors, regulators and government advisors.
Other finalists included Werk Solutions in the Cleantech category. Werk Solutions aims to address challenges for students with special educational needs by integrating sustainable practices and innovative technologies to create inclusive, efficient and responsible environments.
Next year, the competition plans to focus on health and social care. Lyle Wraxall, Chief Executive of Digital Isle of Man, comments: “Health and social care is a natural and exciting evolution for the Innovation Challenge. With a proven model for innovation and cross-government collaboration, we now have a powerful opportunity to focus our efforts on the areas of public life where innovation can have the greatest impact.
“By building on our track record, we can deliver meaningful change that benefits both our public services and the wider community.”
