The Open University launches Anatolia American University in Greece as part of new partnership
The Open University has announced a new strategic partnership with Anatolia College to establish the Anatolia American University in Greece.

The non-profit, non-state university will begin operations in the 2025-2026 academic year thanks to an educational agreement between the two institutions. The university will offer degrees fully equivalent to those awarded by Greek public universities.
Anatolia American University will offer English-language, state recognised degree programs across three academic schools:
School of Business Administration: Business Administration, Entrepreneurial Management, International Business and Finance, Marketing, and Tourism.
School of Humanities and Social Sciences: English, Political Science and International Relations, and Psychology.
School of Science and Technology: Business Computing, Computer Science, and Biological Sciences.
“This is a pioneering initiative that exemplifies our mission to make education accessible, inclusive, and globally impactful,” comments Professor Dave Phoenix, Vice-Chancellor of The Open University.
“Partnering with Anatolia allows us to bring our academic excellence and innovation to Greece, supporting a new model of international education that addresses the challenges of the 21st century and opens doors for students across Europe and beyond.”
The Anatolia American University aligns with Greece’s national ambition to become a global education hub, attracting students from across the globe and retaining domestic talent.
Supported by the Open University, Anatolia will continue to prioritise access to education for students with limited financial resources.
