OpenAI and Carahsoft put Codex in front of education teams with workflow webinar
The virtual session will focus on how education institutions can use Codex to build internal workflows, reduce manual work, and support non-technical teams.
OpenAI and Carahsoft are putting Codex in front of education teams with a webinar focused on internal workflows and practical AI use.
OpenAI and Carahsoft will host a virtual webinar on June 2, 2026, focused on how education institutions can use Codex to build practical internal workflows and reduce repetitive work across day-to-day operations.
The session, Building With Codex in Education, will run from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET, or 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PT. It is designed for both technical and non-technical audiences, with OpenAI positioning Codex as a tool that can support education teams beyond developer use cases.
The webinar will cover how education teams can turn institutional needs into usable tools, streamline processes, and support work across colleges, universities, and other education organizations.
Nicole Carter, GTM for Education at OpenAI, said the session will look at how Codex can help education teams build practical tools from everyday operational needs.
Carahsoft is hosting the webinar with OpenAI as part of its public sector technology events program. Carahsoft works with technology vendors, resellers, system integrators, and managed service providers across the U.S. and Canadian public sector, including education.
Codex use cases for education teams
The webinar will focus on how Codex can support internal workflows in education rather than only technical software development.
Carter wrote: "Join OpenAI and Carahsoft next week for a virtual webinar on Building With Codex in Education. Spoiler alert: it's not just for technical teams. I use it to streamline knowledge work every. single. day."
She added: "We’ll look at how education teams can use Codex to turn everyday institutional needs into practical tools and workflows, whether that means reducing manual effort, improving internal processes, or quickly prototyping solutions that support faculty, staff, and students."
The event description says participants will gain a clearer understanding of how non-technical users can collaborate with Codex, practical ideas for turning institutional needs into usable solutions, examples of Codex supporting internal education workflows, and ways to reduce manual work and improve team efficiency.
That framing puts the webinar in the operational side of AI adoption in education, covering staff workflows, internal processes, and tool-building rather than classroom-only use.
Carahsoft positions OpenAI for public sector adoption
Carahsoft lists OpenAI as part of its technology portfolio for public sector organizations, including federal, state, and local government, education, healthcare, and other regulated sectors.
OpenAI’s public sector materials through Carahsoft cover ChatGPT, OpenAI models, responsible AI, implementation support, data residency, security, privacy, and partner support.
The Carahsoft OpenAI page also lists OpenAI ChatGPT for Government 102 as another virtual event, scheduled for May 27, 2026, alongside Building With Codex in Education on June 2.
Carahsoft’s education market materials cover technology procurement for higher education institutions and K-12 schools. Its wider technology portfolio includes artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud, DevSecOps, customer experience, education technology, and workforce development.
Webinar targets non-technical users
The Codex webinar is being presented as accessible to users who are not developers. The event description states: "This session is designed for both technical and non-technical audiences. You do not need to be a developer to benefit."
The webinar positions Codex as a practical workflow tool for education institutions, not only a coding product for developers. The session will show how faculty, staff, and operations teams can use AI-assisted coding to turn routine institutional tasks into internal tools, reduce manual work, and improve day-to-day processes.
Registration is open for the June 2 virtual event.
