Learning platform Honor Education has announced it raised $38 million in Series A funding to expand its AI capabilities, enhance personalization and grow its operations and customer success teams to support growing demand.

The funding was raised from Alpha Edison, Wasserstein & Co, Audeo Ventures, Interlock Partners, New Wave Capital and other investors.

"Real learning is driven by human connection, relevance, and challenge," comments Joel Podolny, CEO and founder at Honor Education. "With this funding, we will further scale our collective learning approach – partnering with powerful brands to create credentialed programs that learners proudly engage with, and equipping leaders to build cultures that accelerate organizational growth and alignment."

Honor has delivered more than 700,000 sessions to date and claims to have “significantly higher” engagement than traditional platforms, with course completion rates of 85 percent. The platform was initially used in higher education institutions but has since expanded into enterprise, working with companies including Netflix, Pinterest and Moderna.

“Honor's learning experience moves beyond static content, creating networks of practice where members engage, apply, and learn from one another,” said David Bartholomew, Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, SVP of Learning at ACHE. "Together, we’ve made learning social, relevant, and actionable to meet leaders where they are – empowering them to grow, adapt, and lead effectively in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape."

RTIH AI in Retail Awards

Our sister title, RTIH, organiser of the industry leading RTIH Innovation Awards, proudly brings you the first edition of the RTIH AI in Retail Awards, which is now open for entries.

As we witness a digital transformation revolution across all channels, AI tools are reshaping the omnichannel game, from personalising customer experiences to optimising inventory, uncovering insights into consumer behaviour, and enhancing the human element of retailers' businesses.

With 2025 set to be the year when AI and especially gen AI shake off the ‘heavily hyped’ tag and become embedded in retail business processes, our newly launched awards celebrate global technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world and the resulting benefits for retailers, shoppers and employees.

Our 2025 winners will be those companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.

Winners will be announced at an evening event at The Barbican in Central London on Wednesday, 3rd September.
