Echo360’s GoReact and Macmillan Learning announce expanded partnership delivering AI-powered assessment

Video learning and assessment provider GoReact has expanded its partnership with education provider Macmillan Learning to improve assessment using AI-powered video feedback.

The extended partnership aims to help students develop the real-world communication skills needed to thrive in college and throughout their careers.

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers Job Outlook in 2024, 73.3 percent of employers said oral and written communication were “very” or “extremely important” skills for for new graduates. However, just 47.5 percent felt that students were proficient in these areas.

The expanded partnership aims to address this gap by allowing instructors in communication courses to provide personalized, immediate feedback by integrating GoReact’s AI Assistant into Macmillan Learning’s Achieve platform.

Students will be given AI feedback, enabling them to reflect, identify areas for improvement and build their confidence.

“Macmillan Learning has been one of our most innovative partners and this partnership is purpose-built to reimagine teaching and learning in a skills-first world. We couldn’t be more excited to expand our partnership,” explains Jeff Peterson, Global Chief Growth and Marketing Officer at Echo360.

“Macmillan Learning is committed to putting powerful, practical AI tools in the hands of instructors not just for efficiency, but to truly support student growth and skill development.”

Susanne Jeans, Program Director at Macmillan Learning adds:  “Today’s students need more than knowledge, they also need the confidence and communication skills to succeed in the real world. By bringing tools like GoReact into Achieve, we’re helping instructors deliver the kind of personalized, skills-based feedback that prepares learners for life beyond the classroom.”

Earlier this year, Macmillan Learning announced a new partnership with Invoke Learning, a specialist in predictive analysis for higher education, aiming to improve student outcomes and operational efficiency using data.

RTIH AI in Retail Awards

Our sister title, RTIH, organiser of the industry leading RTIH Innovation Awards, proudly brings you the first edition of the RTIH AI in Retail Awards, which is now open for entries.

As we witness a digital transformation revolution across all channels, AI tools are reshaping the omnichannel game, from personalising customer experiences to optimising inventory, uncovering insights into consumer behaviour, and enhancing the human element of retailers' businesses.

With 2025 set to be the year when AI and especially gen AI shake off the ‘heavily hyped’ tag and become embedded in retail business processes, our newly launched awards celebrate global technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world and the resulting benefits for retailers, shoppers and employees.

Our 2025 winners will be those companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.

Winners will be announced at an evening event at The Barbican in Central London on Wednesday, 3rd September.
