Tonies partners with YouTube’s Ms Rachel to offer screen-free learning and play through the Toniebox

Tonies, an audio entertainment system for young children, has announced a partnership with online early education star Ms Rachel.

The Ms Rachel Tonie brings the YouTube star’s blend of early learning, music and movement to the Toniebox - a screen-free, wireless system that supports independent learning and play for young children.

To use the device, children simply need to place the Ms Rachel Tonie on top of their Toniebox to unlock the audio content. Users can enjoy exclusive Ms Rachel content through their Toniebox, as she teaches children about daily routines, the alphabet, colors and feelings. The content also includes fan-favourite songs.

"Ms. Rachel is a cultural icon and undeniably one of the most sought-after launches in tonies' history," comments Christoph Frehsee, Chief Revenue Officer at Tonies. "We are thrilled to finally bring fans what they've been eagerly awaiting - the songs, teachings and fun of Ms. Rachel in her very own Tonie. Our shared passion to create magical experiences that spark imagination and help children grow through play is what makes this partnership so meaningful."

Ms Rachel is an educator who shares research-based videos aimed at toddlers and their families using songs, games and nursery rhymes to support early learning through her YouTube channel. She has a masters degree in musical education and another in early childhood development.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends that children under the age of five spend no more than an hour each day looking at digital devices. It also recommends no more than an hour of screen time each day for two-year-olds, with less time preferred. Screen time is not recommended at all for children under the age of one.

"I'm so excited to team up with Tonies to introduce the very first Ms. Rachel Tonie!" adds Ms. Rachel. "Screen-free play is great for your little one's development! I can't wait to keep supporting your child's learning through music, movement, and lots of love!"

Ms Rachel has previously worked with American organic yogurt brand Stonyfield on a range of yogurt pouches and a campaign promoting the benefits of nutritious foods for young children. She also has a children’s show on Netflix.
