Stonyfield Organic and Ms. Rachel Team Up to Launch “O is for Organic” Program
Leading American organic yogurt brand Stonyfield is partnering with YouTube and Netflix star Ms Rachel on a new range of yogurt pouches and a campaign promoting the benefits of nutritious foods for young children.
The ‘O is for Organic’ campaign aims to educate families about the benefits of nutritious foods for children’s development. Stonyfield says the program will include a series of “fun, educational videos” led by Ms Rachel and designed to highlight the ways organic farming and food can support children’s development.
Stonyfield sells a range of organic whole milk yogurt aimed at families with babies, which will also be highlighted in the campaign as a “great place to start with babies’ first foods”.
Ms Rachel is an educator who shares research-based videos aimed at toddlers and their families using songs, games and nursery rhymes to support early learning through her YouTube channel. She has a masters degree in musical education and another in early childhood development.
However, the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends that children under the age of five spend no more than an hour each day looking at digital devices. WHO recommends no more than an hour each day for two-year-olds, with less time preferred. Screen time is not recommended at all for children under the age of one.
As part of the ‘O is for Organic’ campaign, Stonyfield says it will also donate $200,000 to support children in need. The "O is for Organic" content can be viewed on the Stonyfield website. Stonyfield says the campaign will continue to be updated with new content throughout the year.
"At Stonyfield, we've always been passionate about nourishing young bodies and minds with organic food, so we're absolutely thrilled to work with Ms. Rachel on the 'O is for Organic' program,” says Gary Hirshberg, co-founder and Chief Organic Optimist at Stonyfield Organic.
"I have seen firsthand the incredible impact Ms Rachel's educational content has had on my own grandchildren. Her ability to captivate and engage young learners is truly remarkable. This collaboration brings together our shared commitment to helping children thrive, and I am excited to team up to help families prioritize organic nutrition for their children's growth and development."
"I believe every child deserves a strong start, and that begins with the love and care we put into their learning and their nutrition," Ms Rachel adds. "I'm so proud to work with Stonyfield Organic's YoBaby Yogurt to help families make informed choices. When we nurture little minds and bodies, the future is brighter for everyone.”
