Canva brings Learning Labs roadshow to UK cities with AI and classroom creativity workshops

Canva Education plans regional teacher events across the UK followed by a four-day London festival focused on AI tools, classroom creativity, and teacher productivity.

Canva Education is launching a UK Learning Labs roadshow in 2026, bringing a series of in-person teacher events to cities including Liverpool, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, and Bristol before concluding with a four-day Learning Labs festival in London in June.

The events are designed for teachers, school leaders, and education specialists interested in using Canva’s platform and AI tools in classroom settings. Sessions will focus on practical applications for lesson design, student creativity, and teacher workflow.

Jade Parkinson-Hill, UK Education Community Manager at Canva, shared details of the initiative on LinkedIn, announcing that the Learning Labs program will return to support teachers exploring new approaches to digital learning. “Canva Education Learning Labs are back! Bringing the future of classroom creativity to your region, for your school,” Parkinson-Hill wrote in the post.

Regional workshops focus on AI tools and classroom practice

The Learning Labs roadshow will host one-day events in several UK cities between April and June, giving teachers the opportunity to explore Canva Education tools through workshops and live demonstrations.

According to the announcement, the sessions will include hands-on workshops covering Canva AI features, Canva Code, collaborative whiteboards, and tools designed to support teacher productivity and lesson creation.

Participants will also explore new product updates introduced at Canva Create 2026 and receive classroom resources designed to help teachers implement the platform in school environments. The events will include sessions led by Canva staff and educators from the company’s “Canvassador” teacher community who are already using the platform in classrooms.

London festival to close the roadshow

Following the regional events, Canva will host a four-day Learning Labs festival in London from June 22 to June 25. The program will run separate sessions designed for different education audiences including primary teachers, secondary teachers, school leaders, and post-16 educators.

Workshops during the roadshow and the London event will cover topics such as lesson planning with AI tools, classroom collaboration through digital whiteboards, and using creative media formats to support student learning.

Educators attending previous sessions say the events provide opportunities to test tools in a collaborative environment.

The Learning Labs roadshow forms part of Canva’s wider effort to grow its education community and expand adoption of Canva for Education in schools.

Canva describes its platform as a visual communication tool used by more than 260 million people each month globally. The company offers Canva for Education free to primary and secondary schools. The Learning Labs initiative is intended to help educators explore how creative design tools and AI features can support teaching, student collaboration, and classroom content creation.
