Italian EdTech startup Wibo wraps €500,000 funding round for HR and learning and development push
Wibo, a startup that works with companies to build real-world human and AI skills through executive led, experiential corporate learning programmes, has landed €500,000 in funding.
In a LinkedIn post, the Italian company said: “500,000 times thank you. In recent years we have always chosen the most difficult path, training the art of doing more with less, keeping our ambitions high and working hard, with care and attention, to build a healthy and sustainable Wibo.”

It added: “This round will be a stimulus and accelerator for many projects that we have kept in the drawer so far, but for us it is above all a huge sign of esteem from fellow travellers who are a continuous push and a source of inspiration: top executives who trusted us immediately and chose Wibo first as Mentor, then as teachers, always as allies. They saw our work in the classroom, the choices we make every day - and decided to bet on us.”
“Among them: Andrea Incondi (Flix), Lorenzo Lagorio (easyJet), Elena Mirandola (formerly F.C. Como Women), Giacomo Trovato (Genertel), Duccio Vitali (Alkemy), Oscar Farinetti (Eataly), Marco Fassone and Simone Cimminelli - together with Techstars and Talent Garden. Thank you very much.”
Wibo says it will use the cash to enhance its offering, invest in technology, and develop its team.
It concluded: “No waste. Gently. As always. To those who believed in us, inside and outside the courtroom: thank you. We build the next stage together.”
RTIH AI in Retail Awards
Our sister title, RTIH, organiser of the industry leading RTIH Innovation Awards, proudly brings you the first edition of the RTIH AI in Retail Awards, which is now open for entries.
As we witness a digital transformation revolution across all channels, AI tools are reshaping the omnichannel game, from personalising customer experiences to optimising inventory, uncovering insights into consumer behaviour, and enhancing the human element of retailers' businesses.
With 2025 set to be the year when AI and especially gen AI shake off the ‘heavily hyped’ tag and become embedded in retail business processes, our newly launched awards celebrate global technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world and the resulting benefits for retailers, shoppers and employees.
Our 2025 winners will be those companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.
Winners will be announced at an evening event at The Barbican in Central London on Wednesday, 3rd September.
This will kick off with a drinks reception in the stunning Conservatory, followed by a three course meal, and awards ceremony in the Garden Room.
