doris outlines global rollout as EdTech platform scales across international schools

UK-based EdTech platform doris is expanding globally following a year of rapid growth, as demand increases for clearer, more data-driven ways for families to navigate the international K–12 school market.

CEO of school discovery platform, doris, Nik Higgins

doris, a school discovery platform for parents, has confirmed plans for a global expansion after completing a successful seed funding round and recording average monthly growth of 130 percent.

The company operates within the international school sector, which it values at sixty billion dollars, and is now rolling out territory by territory with the aim of listing around ten thousand international schools and kindergartens by the end of March 2026.

Launched in Southeast Asia in 2025, doris positions itself as an impartial platform designed to help families compare and discover international schools using a mix of manual search tools and AI-driven recommendations. The expansion signals growing investor confidence in parent-facing EdTech platforms that prioritize transparency, data, and usability over traditional directory-style listings.

Global rollout targets 10,000 schools by March 2026

The company confirms that its development team is now focused on scaling school profiles across multiple regions, with East Asia among the early expansion areas. Schools including Dulwich College Singapore and German European School Singapore were among the first to join the platform, followed by Stamford American School Hong Kong and Hangzhou International School.

The platform is designed to support both parents and school admissions teams. Families can search manually using detailed criteria or interact with doris’s AI assistant, which provides tailored school recommendations based on responses to structured questions. On the school side, admissions and marketing teams gain access to dashboards that surface real-time data on parent search behavior, engagement, and competitive positioning.

According to the company, this level of behavioral insight has not previously been widely available across the international K–12 sector, where admissions decisions are often shaped by fragmented or anecdotal data.

CEO points to behavior shift in parent-led school search

Nik Higgins, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of doris, says the platform is already influencing how families research international schools. He comments: “In a short space of time, we have taken a genuinely powerful idea and turned it into a platform that is both changing lives and challenging an industry where the status quo has dominated for far too long.”

Higgins adds: “We are laser-focused on creating the most intuitive, parent-centric school discovery experience possible, and we are already seeing significant shifts in online behaviour.”

He also highlights the platform’s positioning around impartiality, stating: “Families can now search for international schools in a much more parent-friendly way, with some help from doris AI. Because the platform is fully impartial, they can trust that every recommendation is based on fit, not on which school shouts the loudest or spends the most on marketing.”

For schools, Higgins says access to data is a key differentiator: “For schools, doris unlocks access to deeply meaningful datasets for the first time. Through their personal dashboards, admissions teams can understand parent search behaviour, sentiment, competitive positioning and much more.”

Funding supports product development and senior hires

The global expansion is being led by co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Tom Shacham and follows the close of a fundraising round that attracted investors from both the UK and overseas. The company has not disclosed the size of the round.

Alongside geographic expansion, doris has grown its leadership and technical teams. Recent appointments include Giulia Ceccon as Chief Marketing Officer, Ryan Rudisaile as Director of School Partnerships, Luca Eto as Senior Software Developer, and Aziza Francienne as B2C Marketing Manager.

Looking ahead, Higgins describes the expansion as a sector first, stating: “Our expansion into every country with an international school or kindergarten is a major milestone. It represents a step that has never before been taken by a technology platform operating in the international K–12 space.”

He adds: “We are proud disruptors. We have created a perpetual dawn - a constant sense of progress. New schools are joining, new functionality is being rolled out, and new opportunities continue to emerge. The future is incredibly exciting.”
