Raptor Technologies adds SmartPass Flex to manage student movement and activities

SmartPass Flex is designed to help schools coordinate student activity scheduling and track movement during unstructured periods of the day.

SmartPass Flex expands the company’s existing SmartPass product line by integrating activity scheduling and hall pass tracking. The new feature is designed to help schools coordinate extracurricular programs, interventions, make-up tests, and other sessions that fall outside regular class schedules.

The tool provides real-time insights into student location and engagement, offering data to support attendance tracking and school safety procedures. It is aimed at both schools with designated flex periods and those without.

Gray Hall, CEO at Raptor Technologies, says: “Real-time visibility of where students are during unstructured parts of the school day is important for their safety. Raptor’s SmartPass Flex provides schools with the technology they need for activity creation, student sign-ups, attendance tracking and administrative oversight. It is an impactful product supporting student accountability and safety throughout the school day.”

Features to support school operations

The system includes scheduling tools, student selection options, participation data, and communication features such as automated reminders. Raptor says the tool has reduced administrative workload and increased student engagement in pilot schools.

Chris Noell, Chief Product Officer at Raptor Technologies, says: “Customer feedback was instrumental in shaping SmartPass Flex from the very beginning. By listening closely to the practical needs and challenges of school leaders and staff, we were able to engineer a solution that is powerful, intuitive and easy to use. SmartPass Flex reflects what educators asked for—making activity management simpler while prioritizing student safety.”
