Immertec launches Animal Health Division bringing real-time virtual surgical training to veterinary professionals
Texas-based tech firm Immertec is expanding into veterinary medicine with immersive tools designed to support remote surgical training, product rollouts, and global collaboration across veterinary hospitals and institutions.

Immertec, a healthcare technology company based in Texas, has launched a new Animal Health Division aimed at bringing immersive remote training tools to veterinary professionals. The move extends the company’s existing platform, originally developed for use in human healthcare settings, to the veterinary sector.
The company’s immersive operating room technology has previously supported training and education for medical device firms and surgical teams. This new division will offer similar tools to veterinary hospitals, universities, and product manufacturers.
Remote training for procedures and product education
Veterinary professionals can now access live-streamed surgeries and procedures through Immertec’s virtual training platform, which allows for real-time collaboration and multi-user viewing.
Andy Zupsic, chief operating officer at Immertec, says, “Immertec enables hospital groups and specialty practices to scale and standardize surgical training across locations—accelerating onboarding, expanding continuing education, and improving clinical consistency systemwide.”
The launch includes the company’s Presenter Mode, a feature designed to support large-scale virtual training sessions. This tool is intended for onboarding, continuing education, and product demonstrations across various regions and time zones.
Technology rollout and global access
The company has made the technology available immediately, offering access to veterinary professionals internationally. The goal is to enable consistent procedural exposure and reduce the need for physical presence at training locations.
The Animal Health Division marks a strategic step for Immertec as it enters the veterinary space, expanding its presence beyond the human healthcare sector.
Zupsic adds, “Immertec enables hospital groups and specialty practices to scale and standardize surgical training across locations—accelerating onboarding, expanding continuing education, and improving clinical consistency systemwide.”
