OpenAI and Udemy to offer personalized training to ChatGPT users directly within the chatbot
Users will be able to access the training content directly in ChatGPT, offering content, interactive assessments, practical labs, and competency checks. Users will also be able to use AI-powered gap identification and progressive learning paths.
“Built in close collaboration with OpenAI, this app brings Udemy courses led by real-world experts directly into ChatGPT. It combines conversational discovery with high-quality learning experiences across thousands of topics, making it easier than ever to learn when you need to,” Udemy shared in a statement.
OpenAI says education is one of the most common use cases amongst ChatGPT’s 800 million weekly users. Udemy’s embedded courses will be made available to Free, Go, Plus and Pro ChatGPT users in English.
The two organizations say they have plans to make education universally accessible through the chatbot.
"Udemy is pioneering the future of AI-powered learning by making skills development more personalized, interactive, and accessible than ever before,” explains Hugo Sarrazin, President and CEO at Udemy.
“This integration addresses the growing demand for accessible, just-in-time learning that fits into busy professional lives. By meeting learners in their ChatGPT conversations, Udemy is exponentially expanding access to skills training and professional development opportunities. What sets this apart from traditional AI tutoring is our focus on building real expertise through trusted content, practical assessments, and validated skill development rather than just providing answers.”
