Panasonic LUMIX Launches LUMIX EDU initiative providing students and educators with content and resources

Behind the scenes at Mater Dei High School’s student-run broadcast studio, where future media professionals are learning the art of storytelling, production, and live reporting in real time.
Aiming to support the next generation of filmmakers, photographers and content creators, the program offers free curriculum resources, including 1-year and 4-year tracks for launching film and media programs.
Those enrolled will also be given access to industry experts, including LUMIX Ambassadors and creators, who will offer workshops and mentoring opportunities. Schools can also apply for access to loaner cameras for projects and hands-on training. Panasonic says the scheme will support academic institutions looking to elevate their visual storytelling programs.
The scheme also offers discounts on cameras and accessories for educators and students through the LUMIX student and educator benefits portal.
"We want to empower students and educators with the same tools used by top filmmakers and content creators," explains Neil Matsumoto, Business Manager at Panasonic LUMIX. "Whether you're building a new media program or producing your first short film, LUMIX EDU is here to support your journey."
Educators can apply for access to program materials to help launch or expand their institution’s video production curriculum. Individual students and educators can also register for LUMIX EDU with a valid .edu or .org email address.
