MyEdSpace raises $15 million in Series A funding and announces plans to launch in the US this month

MyEdSpace, a UK-based digital schooling platform, has announced it has raised $15 million in Series A funding.

Writing on LinkedIn, Sean Hirons, Co-founder at MyEdSpace, shared that the funding round was led by White Star Capital and joined by Educapital, Emerge VC, Active Partners, and Coalition Captial.

“The world’s best teachers shouldn't be confined to a single classroom, with their brilliance reaching only a lucky few. Too many young people are denied the chance to learn from the best because of where they live, what they can afford or because the traditional classroom doesn't inspire them,” Hirons wrote.

Founded in 2022, MyEdSpace offers live lessons with experienced UK teachers, supported by workbooks, homework, and video content.

Nick Stocks, General Partner at White Star Capital, added: “In a short period of time they’ve helped over 16,000 students achieve better results, and with this round will be looking to expand their product offering, bring in more AI tools for a more personalised offering, as well as expand to the US - as the challenges in the education system are global.”

Hirons added that the funding news was “just the start line,” as he also shared that the company plans to launch its Mathematics course in the US in October.
