Efekta Education Group says its AI tutor Addi has been rolled out to more than 1 million users in Brazil
Efekta Education Group, an AI edtech provider, has shared that its AI language tutor Addi has been successfully rolled out to more than one million English language students and their teachers in Brazil.

Rolled out in several countries and five Brazilian states over the past three years, Efekta’s AI learning program is now projected to reach more than four million by the start of September 2025.
Efekta’s AI-powered tutor Addi offers one-to-one support through immersive simulations, real-time contextual support and personalized feedback, alongside its structured curriculum content.
The company also provides Classroom AI to teachers, offering support with repetitive tasks such as grading, allowing teachers to focus on supporting students.
Efekta claims students using its digital learning platform demonstrate “significant improvement” in English proficiency compared with those using traditional classroom methods.
Stephen Hodges, CEO at Efekta, says: “We’re delighted to reach a huge milestone in Latin America, with our AI tutor Addi projected to reach over three million students additional students looking to develop their English language skills by September – for a total of four million students learning with Addi in what we believe is the largest AI learning pilot of its kind.
“The modern classroom is evolving, and students and teachers alike are benefiting from a personalised approach to language learning, that’s significantly increasing English proficiency at pace, and builds student confidence in a way that’s not possible in a traditional classroom setting.”
Efekta previously shared that it was targeting regions where classroom resources for English are often limited, and where teachers are tasked with managing large class sizes. The AI tools are intended to offer scalable, affordable support that complements traditional instruction rather than replacing it.
