Thrive acquires smart intranet provider Huler, aiming to ‘rewrite the employee experience for the AI era’

Thrive, an AI-powered online learning platform, has acquired smart intranet provider Huler. Thrive says together the two organizations will form “the world’s first fully integrated learning, mentoring, and employee experience platform”.

The news follows shortly after Thrive acquired online mentoring and coaching business Guider and is part of its wider plan to create a “truly AI-first employee experience”.

Huler, which offers a UX-first smart intranet, will continue to operate as a standalone brand with “significant investment” in its roadmap including enhanced analytics, AI-powered personalization, and a search option that works across all connected workplace systems.

“We’re in the AI era now, and it’s time workplace tools caught up,” explains Sean Reddington, CEO and Founder at Thrive. “With Thrive, Guider and Huler, we’re building tools that are actually fit for how people think, learn and work today. They’re fast, intuitive, and built to bring together human connection and AI -  the way work should be.”

CEO  at Huler Richard Urwin comments: “We set out to change the world of work and make workplace tools feel as intuitive and accessible as the apps people love outside of work. We’ve always had bold ambitions and a different way of doing things, so teaming up with Thrive made perfect sense.

“With their momentum, vision and standout tech stack, we’re not just building tools for the AI era - we’re delivering them to customers who are ready to lead now.”

Working with customers including Travelodge, Norgine, and Dairy Queen, Thrive says it is “rewriting the employee experience for the AI era”. Its AI–powered personalization and search options give staff the ability to access every tool, system and interaction within one app.

“We’re not just buying another product, we’re building a movement and investing in a future where every employee’s learning, comms and growth are connected by design. Together, Thrive and Huler are creating a workplace experience that’s as engaging and intuitive as the apps we use in our daily lives. This is what a real connected employee experience looks like and we’re excited to lead it,” adds Cassie Gasson, Co-CEO at Thrive.
