NorthEdge invests in employee engagement platform Oak Engage, aiming to accelerate growth
Private equity firm NorthEdge has invested in employee engagement platform Oak Engage.
Used by companies including NatWest Group, Burger King UK, Aldi, Five Guys and Halfords, Oak Engage provides a mobile-first employee engagement platform and intranet platform for staff.
The platform acts as a central hub to reach and engage with deskless employees and provides easy access to news and key documents. It also uses AI to provide personalized communications.
NorthEdge says it will support the business to invest in its commercial team aiming to accelerate growth and enhance its strategy. It also plans to invest in systems and processes that will enable data-driven decision making.
“We are delighted to be backing Will and the highly ambitious team at Oak Engage to continue the growth of the business following their success over the last few years. The business operates in a fast-growth market that continues to evolve at pace, Oak Engage’s well-invested platform means they are well-placed to capitalise on the increasing demand for employee engagement tools,” comments Dan Matkin, Director at NorthEdge.
Will Murray, CEO of Oak Engage, adds: “I’m proud to lead the company at such a pivotal time and to have the backing of NorthEdge as we cement our position as leaders in the industry. We remain firmly committed to investing in our growth, our people, and our product to ensure we continue delivering exceptional experiences for our customers and their employees.”
RTIH AI in Retail Awards
Our sister title, RTIH, organiser of the industry leading RTIH Innovation Awards, proudly brings you the first edition of the RTIH AI in Retail Awards, which is now open for entries.
As we witness a digital transformation revolution across all channels, AI tools are reshaping the omnichannel game, from personalising customer experiences to optimising inventory, uncovering insights into consumer behaviour, and enhancing the human element of retailers' businesses.
With 2025 set to be the year when AI and especially gen AI shake off the ‘heavily hyped’ tag and become embedded in retail business processes, our newly launched awards celebrate global technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world and the resulting benefits for retailers, shoppers and employees.
Our 2025 winners will be those companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.
Winners will be announced at an evening event at The Barbican in Central London on Wednesday, 3rd September.
