Florida Institute of Technology and Denison College partner with Transact + CBORD and Allegion on mobile credentials
Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) and Denison College have partnered with Transact + CBORD and Allegion US to offer mobile credential technology across their campuses.

The scheme aims to improve student satisfaction and campus life by allowing them to connect using their mobile devices.
With a mobile student ID added to their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, students can access facilities, residence halls, and campus amenities using their phones. The technology removes the need for a traditional ID card.
FIT upgraded their established Allegion hardware infrastructure, replacing reader modules on existing wireless locks. As Denision only installed its hardware in 2021, it was able to support mobile credentials immediately.
"With the successful mobile Wallet launches at FIT and Denison, it’s evident that mobile credentials are a viable solution for campuses of all sizes and profiles,” explains Jeff Koziol, Business Development Manager at Allegion.
“Congratulations to Denison and FIT for their well-executed rollouts and the impressive adoption rates achieved since implementation earlier this year."
The shift toward the use of mobile credentials at both institutions reflects student feedback and the growing need to align campus services with the needs of today’s students and reduce the reliance on physical ID for campus security.
“By adopting digital IDs, schools like FIT and Denison are doing more than modernizing credentials — they're showing an earnest commitment to student success," adds Rasheed Behrooznia, Executive Vice President & General Manager, Campus ID and Commerce for Transact + CBORD.
"Digital IDs have proven to remove barriers, foster a greater sense of belonging, and meet digital expectations. Today’s announcement marks an important shift toward an inclusive, secure, mobile-first campus experience for students at both of these schools.”
Last month, reusable food solution USEFULL shared plans to work with campuses to implement a reuse system that uses campus ID or mobile credentials to check out items and monitor use and impact.
