MinIO, an object storage system, has announced the launch of MinIO Academy, a centralized education hub for IT professionals.

MinIO Academy aims to give IT professionals the skills and training needed to master MinIO AIStor, the company’s scalable object store which is used in data-intensive generative and agentic AI and analytics.

Object storage has become increasingly important in recent years, as the capability is required to build AI-enabled applications. Object stores unpin all of the large language models, including Claude, ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini.

MinIO Academy provides AIStor users with a centralized education hub, bringing together training resources, documentation, and hands-on labs in one space. It also includes role-specific content tailored to the needs of different users.

The training aims to serve both beginners and experienced users looking to expand their expertise.

MinIO Academy offers three key programs: A free course on the fundamentals of AIStor; a paid course offering in-depth knowledge on secure, scalable, and successful use of AIStor; and a program covering market readiness and customer engagements for authorized MinIO Partners.

"The explosion of unstructured data and growing prevalence of AI across the enterprise has brought us to a pivotal moment in managing AI data infrastructure: object storage is no longer optional, it's foundational," comments AB Periasamy, Co-founder and Co-CEO at MinIO.

"With more than 2 billion downloads worldwide, MinIO is the definitive enterprise object store authority. MinIO Academy is designed to share our deep knowledge and expertise with IT professionals, equipping them with the advanced skills required to thrive in the rapidly evolving AI landscape."
