Code.org and CSforALL have launched a new catalog of activities for the first annual Hour of AI event, which will take place during Computer Science Education Week in December 2025.

More than 50 technology companies, non-profits, and foundations - including Minecraft, LEGO Education, Scratch Foundation, and Khan Academy - have joined in to create a suite of more than 100 activities that help learners explore the potential of AI.

The Hour of AI aims to help students move beyond consuming AI and into using it creatively. Students will be given a chance to see how AI and computer science work together to fuel innovation.

"The next generation can't afford to be passive users of AI – they must be active shapers of it," explains Hadi Partovi, CEO and Co-founder of Code.org. "The Hour of AI and its roster of incredible partners are empowering students to explore, create, and take ownership of the technology that is shaping their future."

Some of the Hour of AI activities for 2025 include:

  • Survive the Night in Minecraft with the Help of AI

  • Explore Animal Training with LEGO Education

  • Solving Real-World Challenges: AI Quests

Teachers, families, students, and the wider edtech community, are all invited to take part in the Hour of AI throughout the year.
