Francesca Fraser, Multiverse's new Head of Policy and Public Affairs, joined a panel at the Fabian Society and Bright Blue Tech Summit in her second week in the role.

Multiverse, the apprenticeship platform founded by Euan Blair, has hired Francesca Fraser as its new Head of Policy and Public Affairs. Fraser, a former Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on education and skills policy, joins from Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she worked as an Analysis Manager within BCG's Centre for Growth.

Fraser announced the move on LinkedIn, writing that Multiverse is "tackling one of the biggest policy challenges facing the UK today - how to ensure that the UK workforce is prepared and trained to adopt AI and unlock the transformational benefits that it will bring."

She added: "Having long been a believer in the immense potential of apprenticeships in the UK skills system, I am thrilled to be joining the team that is leading the way."

From No. 10 to apprenticeships

Fraser spent nearly two years as a Special Adviser at 10 Downing Street, where she advised the Prime Minister on education and skills policy and provided oversight of the Department for Education. Before that, she was a Senior Researcher at the think tank Onward, where she led research on Levelling Up policy with a focus on education and skills.

The hire comes as Multiverse continues to build out its position in AI workforce development. Baroness Martha Lane-Fox, who was this week appointed to chair the Mayor of London's new AI and Jobs Taskforce, also sits on the Multiverse board as a Non-Executive Director.

Fraser marked the start of her second week at Multiverse by joining the Fabian Society and Bright Blue's Tech Summit, a cross-party event focused on technology and the future of work. The panel discussed how technology is reshaping employment, with speakers from across policy and industry.

Fraser's background places someone with direct Whitehall experience in a policy-facing role at one of the UK's most prominent apprenticeship platforms, at a point when AI workforce readiness is at the center of multiple government and mayoral initiatives.
