PowerSchool opens Center of Excellence in Chennai, as it strengthens operations in India
PowerSchool, a provider of cloud-based software solutions for K-12 education, has opened a new Center of Excellence in Chennai, India.

PowerSchool says the launch reaffirms its long-term commitment to India and strengthens its operations in the country as it plans to focus on building AI and machine learning capabilities.
“India is central to PowerSchool’s global vision of transforming education through technology. With the launch of our Chennai Centre of Excellence, we are deepening our investment in one of the world’s most dynamic talent ecosystems while reinforcing our commitment to innovation and customer success,” says Apoorav Nischal, Managing Director and Country Head at PowerSchool India.
“This expansion not only strengthens our ability to deliver world-class solutions that empower educators and students everywhere but also positions India as a strategic hub supporting growth across South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.”
PowerSchool currently has around 1,450 employees in India, serving its global and local markets as it expands its capabilities.
The new Center of Excellence will bring multiple teams into one building, allowing for closer collaboration and knowledge sharing. It will also offer employees access to new resources and career opportunities.
