Northeast Mississippi Community College becomes the first school to use Transact + CBORD’s mobile credentials

Northeast Mississippi Community College has become the first school to use mobile credentials on Transact + CBORD’s new Transact IDX platform.

Using cloud technology, Transact IDX connects housing, dining, retail, and security with secure, mobile-first technology, eliminating the need for plastic cards.

Nearly 40 percent of students at the college have adopted the technology within two weeks of its launch. Transact+ says this demonstrates the appetite for secure, user-friendly mobile experiences on campuses

“We jumped at the chance to be the first school to launch on the IDX platform,” comments Chris Murphy, Vice President of Finance at Northeast Mississippi Community College. “Transact + CBORD worked closely with us to scale and adapt the system to fit our needs and resources, ensuring our students could benefit from the same innovative mobile credential technology used at much larger universities.”

“NEMCC is the ideal partner for this milestone: eager to innovate, clear about their needs, and committed to improving the experiences of their students, faculty and staff,” adds Rasheed Behrooznia, EVP and GM of Campus ID and Commerce for Transact + CBORD. “This deployment on our IDX platform proves that advanced mobile credential technology can be successfully scaled for institutions of any size, with or without large residential populations.”
