Newstate University introduces Professional Development Studio for flexible AI and career growth

Online platform offers micro-courses and certificates to help learners build AI and business skills for the modern workforce.

Newstate University has launched The Professional Development Studio, an online learning platform offering AI and career-focused micro-courses, micro-certificates, and professional development programs.

The announcement was shared in a LinkedIn post by Sasha Thackaberry-Voinovich Ph.D., Founder and President of Newstate University, and in an accompanying company update.

Expanding access to stackable, skills-first education

Newstate University is a competency-based, fully online institution offering stackable certificates and degrees. Its programs focus on developing practical, career-aligned skills through flexible, self-paced learning.

The new Professional Development Studio expands that mission by providing short, on-demand courses designed to prepare learners for emerging roles in artificial intelligence, data, and management. The catalog includes subjects such as Foundations of AI and Machine Learning, Historical Context and Ethics in AI, and AI Integration with Big Data.

Courses are available across all 50 U.S. states and internationally. Participants can begin at any time, with all courses stacking toward Newstate University’s degree and certificate programs.

Thackaberry-Voinovich wrote: “So excited! Today we launch The Professional Development Studio Newstate University! These are offered in all 50 states and internationally, and stack into our degree and university certificate programs at newstateu.com.”

She credited the launch to extensive collaboration across the university team and its advisory board. “Whew! So much work by this team – I am deeply, deeply grateful for the efforts of this group,” she said, naming faculty, contributors, and board members who supported the rollout and user testing process.

The Professional Development Studio offers a range of business and management-focused micro-certificates, including Big Data and AI Integration in Business Strategy and Career Growth Foundations. Each course is designed to build industry-relevant competencies that align with employer demand.
