Nerdy Inc names ex-Amazon director John Paszterko as its new Chief Operating Officer

Nerdy Inc, an online learning platform, has appointed John Paszterko to the role of Chief Operating Officer, taking responsibility for consumer sales, marketplace operations and member services.

Paszterko previously worked at Amazon for more than nine years, where he held roles including Director, North America Customer Fulfilment ACES and General Manager of Central Operations, NACF.

Paszterko led more than 180 product, program, and data science managers responsible for process improvement and standardization at Amazon.

Prior to joining Amazon, Paszterko spent ten years in the US Army and is a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point. He also has a Master of Science in Global Business and Finance from Georgetown University.

Winners will be announced on 14 January 2026 as part of an online showcase featuring expert commentary on emerging trends and standout innovation. All winners and finalists will also be featured in our first print magazine, to be distributed at BETT 2026.
