Lifelong Learning Passport launches, offering a universal, portable record of skills and achievements
The Learning Economy Foundation, a non-profit aiming to transform education, has launched the Lifelong Learning Passport, providing a portable record of skills and achievement.

The AI-enabled Lifelong Learning Passport provides a record of skills, credentials, and experiences across education and employment. It uses LearnCard, an open-source digital wallet, alongside AI insights and the Skyway App Store, a global marketplace for AI tutors, and learning apps.
"Education is the cornerstone of opportunity, yet billions of learners remain disconnected from systems that recognize their growth," comments Chris Purifoy, CEO and Co-founder at Learning Economy Foundation. "The Lifelong Learning Passport is a shared commitment to change that through an open, interoperable, and secure record that turns learning into opportunity for all."
The initiative aims to reach one billion learners by 2030, offering the passport as a tool to connect education and work to support growth and wellbeing.
"This launch is about building the connective tissue of a more inclusive global economy," adds Carissa Carter, Academic Director at the Stanford d.school. "It represents a turning point for learners everywhere, moving from fragmented systems toward shared infrastructure and opportunity for all."
