ICEI and EdTechTeacher join forces to grow international teacher network testing classroom tech
The International Centre for EdTech Impact has taken to social media to announce a partnership with EdTechTeacher. This aims to create a worldwide network of teachers reviewing and providing feedback on EdTech tools.
In a LinkedIn post, the International Centre for EdTech Impact (ICEI) confirmed it is partnering with EdTechTeacher to expand a global network of teachers reviewing education technology. The initiative, launched by ICEI in early 2025, enlists educators to test products and provide structured feedback to developers.
The post noted: “What started as a small group is now a global network of teacher-reviewers, engaged to test and give feedback on EdTech tools. Through a new partnership between EdTechTeacher and ICEI, this network will grow further, with added teacher expertise and structured professional support.”
Teacher network expands across continents
The International Centre for EdTech Impact works with products, companies, and research teams to evaluate technology design and strengthen the evidence base for adoption.
ICEI’s teacher network has grown from a pilot group into an international community spanning Latin America, Africa, Europe, and Asia, including China and Japan. Educators in the network are engaged to trial tools and contribute classroom-based insights into their design and effectiveness.
Professor Natalia Kucirkova, co-founder and director of ICEI, says: “ICEI is thrilled to collaborate with EdTechTeacher to launch projects centered around elevating the role of teachers and students in product design and refinement. We are excited to cultivate collaborations that further ground technologies in evidence and research, making sure that diverse learner communities across the globe can have access to high-quality support.”
Through the partnership, EdTechTeacher will provide additional teacher expertise, structured professional learning, and a community platform to facilitate collaboration across regions. EdTechTeacher, based in the United States, provides professional learning for schools and districts, offering onsite, virtual, and self-paced training aimed at integrating digital tools into classroom practice.
The collaboration comes at a time of growing demand for evidence that EdTech tools deliver measurable results. Both organizations describe the initiative as a way of embedding practitioner experience into product development and ensuring technology is grounded in classroom realities.
Tom Driscoll, CEO of EdTechTeacher, adds: “We believe that educators are the true experts when it comes to understanding what actually works in the classroom, and this partnership with ICEI ensures their voices are central to every stage of EdTech development. By bringing together teachers, researchers, and EdTech companies in meaningful collaboration, we're creating a powerful ecosystem where evidence-based innovation can truly serve the needs of both educators and students.”
