Ex-OpenAI executive Zack Kass partners with online business school Augment on new AI course

Augment says the new AI curriculum will address the urgent AI skills gap currently facing businesses and entrepreneurs.
McKinsey’s 2025 State of AI survey found that 78 percent of organizations report using AI for at least one business function and 71 percent are using generative AI in at least one area. Augment warns that entrepreneurs and employees without AI literacy are at serious risk as the technology begins to reshape multiple industries.
"AI is moving so fast that preparing for tomorrow means you're already behind,” Kass comments. “I've watched this field evolve for over 15 years, and the entrepreneurs learning to practically integrate AI into their operations right now, not just understand it conceptually, are the ones who will adapt and thrive as this technology progresses at breakneck speed."
Augment has already educated more than 3,000 students across 50 countries, teaching them the practical skills it says are often overlooked by traditional business education.
As well as traditional MBA fundamentals, Augment’s curriculum also includes personal branding, social media, sales and negotiation skills. It says AI literacy is the next critical skills gap that conventional education is failing to address.
"We're in a moment similar to the early days of the internet, where entrepreneurs and workers who take the time to understand how to integrate AI into their daily operations will gain a vast competitive advantage," explains Ariel Renous, Co-founder and CEO at Augment. "But that window won't stay open forever. The success stories of the future will be those businesses and individuals who have seized this critical moment and rapidly upskilled. Augment’s content is designed with exactly this in mind.”
