Education and development programs could be key to talent retention, according to Bright Horizons research

EdAssist by Bright Horizons, a provider of workforce development solutions, says its latest employer spotlight has found learning and development opportunities can help inspire loyalty amongst frontline staff.

In its most recent Smartest Employer Spotlight, EdAssist by Bright Horizons is recognizing a select group of employers that have demonstrated long-term commitment to their employees. The companies recognized by this year’s award include Comcast NBCUniversal, Global Foundries, Papa Johns, and T-Mobile

Bright Horizons says these employers offer their teams “comprehensive and effective education benefits” with a focus on making these benefits accessible to employees through options such as low or no-cost degrees, career pathways, and student loan repayment offers.

EdAssist partners with employers to create education assistance programs that support employee career development and financial wellbeing. The education programs offered by these employers are said to be “critical” to their retention efforts, particularly for businesses with a significant number of frontline employees.

“We’re currently at an inflection point, where companies will need to engage workers differently to attract and retain talent,” explains Diane Bartoli, Senior Vice President of EdAssist by Bright Horizons.

“Best-in-class organizations like those highlighted in our Smartest Employer Spotlight, who can create programming that engenders loyalty amongst their employees – particularly learning and development opportunities that allow workers to gain new skills and expertise required as business needs change – will be those that see the most future success.”

Earlier this year, HopSkipDrive added Bright Horizons’ Dave Lissy to its board as the student transportation tech firm shared plans to scale new markets and launch new AI planning tools.
