Curiosity University expands Nordic presence with launch on Amazon Prime Video Channels in Sweden
Curiosity Inc. brings academic content and factual programming to Swedish Prime members via a new add-on subscription channel.
Curiosity Inc., a U.S.-based media company specializing in factual entertainment, has expanded its European footprint by launching Curiosity University on Amazon Prime Video Channels in Sweden.
The company operates Curiosity University, a subscription-based streaming service that features lectures, panel discussions, and videos presented by university faculty, researchers, and authors.
Content spans a range of subjects including history, science, philosophy, and personal development. The new launch positions Curiosity University as a premium add-on for Prime members in Sweden, aligning with Nordic consumer demand for knowledge-driven, non-fiction programming.
The addition of Curiosity University to Prime Video Channels in Sweden follows similar launches in the United States and the United Kingdom. The platform is also available on Roku, Comcast's Xfinity, Xumo from Xfinity, Cox Contour TV, Spectrum Xumo Streambox, and other platforms.
“We see strong traction in markets like Sweden, where curiosity and lifelong learning are part of the cultural DNA,” says Jay Sodha, vice president of business development and partnerships at Curiosity. “Partnering with Amazon Prime Video Channels in Sweden allows us to tap into a seamless discovery and distribution ecosystem that puts high-quality factual storytelling right in front of viewers ready to dive deeper.”
Curiosity University is now available for monthly subscription through the Prime Video interface, which includes billing and content access via Amazon’s platform.
