Skill Struck launches free AI literacy curriculum for K–12 through Utah state-backed partnership

Skill Struck, a Utah-based provider of K–12 computer science and AI curriculum, has launched a free set of AI literacy courses for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The announcement was made on LinkedIn by CEO Parker Gentry.
According to Gentry, the offering includes semester- and year-long AI literacy courses tailored to four grade bands: K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12. The initiative was created through a grant with the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and in partnership with the Davis Catalyst Center.
The courses include lesson plans, both plugged and unplugged student activities, and digital textbooks. The materials are designed to help students understand the fundamentals of artificial intelligence while supporting teachers with structured and scalable classroom content.
Skill Struck’s broader platform offers adaptive digital tools that cover coding, AI engagement, and keyboarding skills. Teachers also gain access to professional development content and student performance dashboards. The company’s Chat for Schools product includes a secure AI chat tool, differentiated tutoring, assessments, and lesson planning features.
Gentry says, “We are excited to be at the forefront of helping K-12 student gain the durable skills they need to make an impact in a changing world.”
