Learning.com establishes first advisory board with national education leaders
Nine education figures with expertise in AI, policy, and instructional leadership join the board to guide Learning.com’s digital literacy strategy.
Learning.com, a U.S.-based provider of K–12 digital literacy and computer science curriculum, has announced the creation of its first advisory board.
The move, detailed in LinkedIn posts from CEO Lisa O’Masta and new board member LeeAnn Lindsey, brings together nine education leaders to advise on product strategy, AI integration, and district engagement.
Board to guide digital literacy and AI strategy
O’Masta says the advisory board will play a central role in ensuring the company’s solutions align with the challenges schools are facing. “Our Advisory Board is a powerhouse of knowledge, vision, and real-world leadership,” she says. “These leaders have steered some of the nation’s most complex school systems, shaped state and national policy, and pioneered innovative instructional models. Their insight will ensure our solutions meet the urgent challenges schools face today—whether that’s navigating AI in the classroom, strengthening digital citizenship, or preparing students with digital skills for their future.”
Nine leaders named to new board
The advisory board includes Jillian Balow, Chief Strategy Officer at MetaMetrics; Melvin J. Brown, equity-centered leadership consultant; Sandy Husk, former CEO of AVID and ASCD interim CEO; Jesus Jara, former Superintendent of Clark County School District; LeeAnn Lindsey, EdTech scholar and Director of EdTech and Innovation at the Arizona Institute for Education and the Economy; Carolyne Quintana, CEO of Teaching Matters; Edward Lee Vargas, national leadership coach; Kristi Wilson, leadership consultant and former AASA president; and Donna Wright, Director of the National Women’s Leadership Consortium.
Lindsey notes her new role on the board in a LinkedIn post and links it to her broader work in Arizona. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to join Learning.com’s first-ever Advisory Board alongside a tremendous cohort of respected education leaders!” she writes. Lindsey currently directs EdTech and innovation initiatives at the Arizona Institute for Education and the Economy and leads the AZ AI Alliance.
O’Masta says the new board will strengthen Learning.com’s ability to support schools: “We’re thrilled to begin our work together to continue to support our mission to equip students with the digital skills and critical thinking they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.”
