HomeWAV and Edovo join forces to unlock digital learning access behind bars

Edovo’s digital rehabilitation platform will be delivered through HomeWAV tablets at no cost to users or facilities.

HomeWAV, a provider of secure communication solutions for correctional facilities, has partnered with Edovo, a nonprofit organization offering digital learning and rehabilitation tools, to deliver educational content across its tablet platform.

Based in St. Louis, HomeWAV provides technology infrastructure to correctional facilities, including video visitation and messaging services. Edovo, meanwhile, supports more than one million learners nationwide with its suite of vocational, academic, and self-improvement resources.

Through this new collaboration, Edovo’s content is now available on all HomeWAV tablets at no cost to either facilities or incarcerated users.

Expanded access to education and support

HomeWAV’s tablets will now host more than 35,000 hours of Edovo programming, spanning academic instruction, job training, life skills, mental health content, and faith-based learning from over 300 educational providers.

The companies say the collaboration is intended to empower incarcerated individuals with tools to prepare for life beyond incarceration.

“This collaboration marks a major step forward in HomeWAV’s commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for incarcerated individuals,” says HomeWAV CEO Morteza Sahebkar. “We believe access to education is key to rehabilitation and reentry success, and we’re proud to expand these resources across every HomeWAV tablet.”

The rollout includes monitoring tools to help facility staff track engagement, course completion, and individual progress. These insights are designed to support reentry planning and data-driven decisions about future programming.

Focus on equitable outcomes

According to both organizations, the partnership aligns their shared goals of promoting equity, rehabilitation, and long-term success in corrections.

Edovo’s programming uses evidence-based strategies to support skills development and reentry readiness. The company’s resources are also designed to accommodate a wide range of learning needs and educational backgrounds.

HomeWAV says the collaboration contributes to its broader efforts to improve access to digital tools and learning content in underserved settings.
