Ezra lays claim to world record as Microsoft employees complete business coaching program

Digital coaching platform Ezra says it has set the Guinness World Record for the most people to complete a business coaching program in a year, after completing virtual coaching sessions with 4,816 Microsoft employees.

The virtual coaching program was designed by Ezra to make career development a primary reason for employees to remain at Microsoft. Ezra ran 13,704 individual coaching sessions with Microsoft employees, an average of 430 a week across 80 countries.

Alongside the World Record achievement, Extra says Microsoft has also reported tangible business benefits. Microsoft says it has seen a 51 percent increase in the ability of its employees to define career steps and a 37 percent increase in their ability to articulate their goals. Employees also reported a 14 percent increase in their career confidence.

"Microsoft is making career development the number one reason for people to join and stay. And we're proud to help them do it,” says Nick Goldberg, Founder and CEO at Ezra. “We've worked with Microsoft for four years and know each other well. This programme is a great example of how we work with global companies to give them a customised, yet scalable, experience. A Guinness World Record title shows that we're achieving something nobody else is."

Panos Malakoudis, coaching centre of excellence lead at Microsoft, adds: "Our career coaching programme is an industry first, offering personalized support to over 70,000 employees worldwide. What sets this programme apart is its approach to democratizing coaching and supporting employee development within large organisations. With Ezra’s support, we're redefining the standard for integrating learning with work, and making career development a priority for our people."

Last year, Microsoft partnered with Multiverse, supporting its “Get On” campaign, which wants to equip one million people with skills for an AI-driven economy by 2025.
